If you’re anything like me, October is the most beautiful time of the year. Between the cooler weather, the falling leaves, and the anticipation of Halloween, life couldn’t be better.
And, if you’re anything like me, you’ve been planning your Halloweekends since August. But for those of you who aren’t, and don’t even know where to start, I’ve got you covered. All you need to do is pick: Cute, Creepy, or Cozy?
Cute Halloween Events in Toronto 2025
If your Halloween goals are to look good and have fun doing it, these are the events for you.
Church Street Party
Warning – it’s gonna be busy! But if you want a place to get great photos, see other incredible costumes, and maybe get a few drinks, walk up and down along Church Street between Carlton and Gloucester. This is definitely a highlight of my Halloweekends!
Halloween Pub and Club Crawl
This one is for the 19+ crowd. Spanning from 8:00PM to 3:00AM on October 31st, travel through three different pubs and clubs across Toronto.

- Phantom of the Opera and Christine Dae
- Knight in shining armor/Joan of Arc
- Star Wars Gang (especially Padme!)

Creepy Halloween Events in Toronto 2025
Are you a thrill-seeker? An adrenaline junkie? Here are some events that might just satiate your need to scream.
Haunted Walk
These are genuinely some of my favourite things to do. And the best part – there are so many to choose from! From a general walk of Toronto’s haunted places, to an in-depth discovery of University of Toronto’s biggest spectral secrets, there’s something for everyone.
Check out their website to learn more about Haunted Walk and book tickets.
Screemers
Definitely the furthest away from HOEM, situated just over an hour away on the TTC, is this all-in-one scarefest. Complete with seven different haunted mazes and over 120 live scare actors, it will surely scare your socks off!
To find out more, visit the Screemers website.
Murder On the Dance Floor
I think the only thing better than horror is drag horror. At Bar Cathedral on October 23rd, you can find it – an hour and a half drag, burlesque, and pole show celebrating all things spooky and splendid.
Get tickets while you can! You can find them here .
Creepy Costume Ideas
- Tyler Durden and the rest of the Fight Club
- Patrick Bateman
- Amanda Young (aka Bear Trap from Saw)
- Dr. Frankenfurter (or maybe the whole Rocky Horror Picture Show!)
- Mima Kirigoe (and/or her doppleganger from Perfect Blue)
Cozy Halloween Events in Toronto 2025
Is your favourite part of Halloween staying home and eating all the leftover candy? We’ve got you covered.
Harbord Village PumpkinFest
Located in Harbord Village, only a 30 minute transit ride from HOEM, the annual PumpkinFest happens every November 1st. Take a stroll from Spadina to Borden, and see all of the beautifully carved pumpkins before they are composted. Pick up some free hot apple cider, treats, and listen to the live music provided by the Harbord Street Businesses!
AGO Fri Night: Drag Bingo
Loved a bit of drag bingo? This is perfect for you! If you are an OCAD student, or a holder of the Under 25 Pass, you can enter for free. Hosted on October 31st at 7:00PM by Selena Vyle and Bombae, it is sure to be a night of fun.
Catch a Movie at The Revue
One of Toronto’s oldest working movie theatres, located at 400 Roncesvalles Avenue, is showing horror movies all throughout the month of October. Grab a friend, wear your favourite spooky PJ’s, and get ready to be spooked!
You can find showtimes and tickets at The Revue .

The best way to keep a costume cozy is to re-use your daily wardrobe! Here’s some costumes that you can probably find in your closet:
- Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang
- Fantastic Mr. Fox and Mrs. Fox
- A Gaggle of Clowns
- Superbad Trio
- Animal Onezies
